How we work

Predictable from the first call to the last checkpoint.

Most AI projects fail from vague scope and misplaced trust in demos. Our process is designed to make failure hard: measure first, agree outcomes in writing, build in the open, and stay accountable after launch.

01

Understand

1–2 weeks

We sit with your team and map how work actually flows — not how the org chart says it flows. We measure where hours are lost, where errors occur, and what they cost.

Output: a plain-English assessment of where automation pays in your business, and where it doesn't.

02

Agree the outcome

Days, not weeks

Before anything is built, we agree in writing: the system we'll deliver, the metric it must move, the timeline, and the price. Fixed scope wherever possible.

Output: a written scope you could hand to any competent engineer — including a definition of done.

03

Build & prove

Weeks, not quarters

Short build cycles with working software you can see and test throughout. Human checkpoints stay wherever judgment matters. We measure against the baseline from phase one.

Output: a working system in production, measured against the metric we agreed.

04

Support & grow

Ongoing, optional

We maintain what we build, watch how it performs, and propose extensions only when the first results justify them. Or we hand it over completely — documented, owned by you.

Output: a system that keeps working as your business changes — and a partner who answers the phone.

05What we need from you

Your side of the partnership.

  • A process owner who knows how the work really happens — a few hours of their time in phase one.
  • Access to the systems involved (we'll tell you exactly what and why, in advance).
  • Honest answers about what's broken. We've heard everything; nothing surprises us.
  • A decision-maker for the scope conversation, so the project doesn't stall in committee.

06Money & expectations

The questions worth asking any consultancy.

How do you charge?

Fixed price for a defined scope wherever possible. Assessments are fixed-fee. Ongoing maintenance is a predictable monthly arrangement. Where genuine uncertainty exists, we cap it and say so. You will never receive a surprise invoice.

What does 'done' mean on your projects?

It's written into the scope before we start: the system works in production, the metric moved (or we explain precisely why not), your team can operate it, and documentation is delivered. Not a demo. Not a handover deck.

What if the assessment says AI isn't worth it for us?

Then that's what the report says, with the reasoning shown. It has happened before and it will happen again. You'll have paid for certainty, which is cheaper than paying for a system you didn't need.

Can we start small?

We insist on it. One workflow, proven end to end, is worth more than a grand transformation plan. Every large engagement we run started as a small one that worked.

Talk to an engineer, not a salesperson.

A free consultation: we listen, we tell you honestly whether AI can pay for itself in your business, and you leave with a clearer picture either way. No obligation, no pressure follow-up.
